Thank you, was interesting to read. Love both your books, find them all hard to put down and do the chores needing to be done. Hugs 😀 😊 🫂 🤗

Listened this morning on my morning walk… while the book was a KILL for me, I wouldn’t have finished it if it wasn’t for this podcast which would have been a pity as I do love how it all comes together at the end, but I still really enjoyed the discussion about the book. Hearing Natasha Lester discussing the POV and seeing it through her eyes did give me a new appreciation for it. I did enjoy Iris’ story but the sci fi book within a book wasn’t for me, would have enjoyed it more without that.

Yes, that completely makes sense, Taryn and thanks for tuning in and listening to the podcast even though you didn't love the book. Good job for making it all the way to the end of the book anyway!

This was a ‘kiss plus’ for me! I really enjoyed it; the writing is, of course, beautiful, and I adored Iris’s story (and I loved Iris - I didn’t find her unlikeable at all!) I especially loved the way the character of Laura was drawn, she was so enigmatic, almost unknowable even to Iris. (‘It was like talking to a sheet of white blotting paper: the words went out of my mouth and disappeared behind her face as if into a wall of falling snow.’) The sci-fi aspect wasn’t for me, I did find myself skimming those sections. And I too couldn’t help but wonder if it were published today, especially perhaps by a lesser-known author, whether it would appear as is. I suspect it wouldn’t! Which made me a little sad for the state of publishing today, but that’s a whole other conversation …! Thank you Natasha for arranging this group read, and thanks Rach and Anthea for another lovely bookish conversation. xx

Yay! I love that you gave it a kiss plus! I also didn't find Iris unlikeable at all - I found her to be very human. It was my pleasure to organise the group read and yes, bug thanks to Rach and Anthea for indulging me on the podcast too!

Going to You Tube to see the book cover! (I know I rave on about watching on YT as opposed to listening on pods but I feel it’s so much better to see you all!!) 💕🌸💓💖🌷PS Both Margaret Atwood and our own fabulous Natasha Lester are amazing!! PPS I find Bios fascinating - and the longer the better!!! One liners are for the minimalists who don’t want more!!!
